1- Por que o Castelo do Drácula aparece como expressão do Dark Self?

O nosso self é composto pela parte "socialmente aceitável" e pela parte "socialmente inaceitável". O "self social" apresenta uma estrutura semelhante. Tal como a diferença entre inconsciente e inconsciente coletivo. Aquilo que guardamos dentro de nós, aquilo que rejeitamos em nós mesmos, continua a existir e a nos influenciar inconscientemente. Do mesmo modo, a sociedade segue o mesmo destino.

Quando jogamos Castlevania, percebemos que o Castelo do Drácula é o Dark Self, mas não um Dark Self que não se altera, mas sim um Dark Self a se realizar para cada época. Podemos tirar disso que o "mal" ou o lado "não aceito" não deixa de existir com o passar da história. Ele existe por necessidade. Tudo que existe carrega um lado socialmente e internamente aceitável e um lado socialmente e internamente inaceitável. Jung falava sobre a integração das sombras por conta desse conflito inescapável e vem daí a sua "briga" com a teologia cristã.

Quando você joga Castlevania Symphony of the Night, você vê que o herói do jogo anterior (Richter) se "tornou" do "mal", que aquele que deveria ser "do mal" (Alucard, visto que é filho do Drácula) é do "bem" e que Drácula aparece no final do jogo como sendo uma fusão disforme de múltiplos monstros. O Castelo do Drácula é sempre composto por aquilo que é socialmente rejeitado, visto que é a expressão do Dark Self de cada época.

Se olharmos o passar da história, toda religião, ideologia e filosofia que conseguiram serem bem sucedidas em se institucionalizarem apareceram como "libertação" e como "escravidão", como "bem" e como "mal". Essa constante na história representa o "Castelo" do Drácula e a "ressurreição do Drácula". A ressurreição do Drácula nada mais é do que a forma com que múltiplas ideologias, filosofias e religiões aparecem como possibilidades escatológicas de trazerem o paraíso e a paz final para a Terra, mas acabam por se reconfigurar como a expressão do inferno. A ressurreição do Drácula nada mais é do que locais que surgem para a expressão do Dark Self de tempos em tempos. E é exatamente pelo fato dessas ideologias, religiões e filosofias se considerarem salvadores que são incapazes de integrarem a sombra.

Se o mal é uma constante, então o mal não tem uma forma definida. Se tornar socialista, liberal, cristão, islâmico, conservador... nada disso vai te livrar do mal. Visto que o mal estará sempre presente, pouco importando qual seja a sua ideologia, filosofia ou religião. O Dark Self faz parte da natureza humana. Você sempre precisa considerar a sombra que existe na natureza humana e na sociedade humana. E é por essa razão que o Drácula, no jogo Castlevania Symphony of the Night, aparece de uma forma indefinida. O mal não tem forma pois sempre se expressa com as múltiplas formas sociohistóricas da natureza humana.

O Castelo do Drácula adquire várias formas. Na literatura, podemos ver o "Grande Irmão" de 1984. Nos jogos de videogame, vemos a cidade Silent Hill, vemos o Castelo do Drácula em Castlevania, vemos a Umbrella Corporation em Resident Evil. Na vida real, vemos a Ilha de Epstein.

Ele está se referindo a cosmogonia de Hermópolis e aos acontecimentos de lá. Isso dá uma explicação quase mística/teológica ao antissemitismo. Em outras palavras, existe uma ideia de que os channers seriam descendentes intelectuais/teológicos desse povo e estariam em briga com os judeus desde esse momento histórico. This text is about three mysterious and antique subjects:

1- The drug;

2- The drink;

3- The women.

They are grouped forces that can alter consciousness and desire. They are the classic temptations, the vehicles through which a person's inner world is tested and often, transformed.

This is the stage of conscious choice. The individual is in control. They are the subject, and the wine is the object. They are choosing to drink. This represents the initial, seemingly harmless step.

This is the pivotal moment of transition. The man is no longer fully in control. The act of drinking has become automatic, a process that sustains itself. The man is becoming an observer in his own body. The wine is now acting upon itself through him. This is the point where the substance begins to take over.

This is the complete inversion. The man is no longer the subject; he is the object. The wine has become the active agent. It “consumes” him, his personality, and his will. He is now a vessel for the wine's effects. His identity is submerged and replaced by the persona the wine creates.

My family proverb is that it's not just about alcohol, it's a metaphor for any seductive force that starts as a choice and ends as domination:

Loki destabilizes order. Loki reveals hidden tensions. Loki forces transformation through chaos. If you think about it: “The Mask” talks about Sigmund Freud (ID, EGO, and SUPER EGO), but the second talk is about Jung and archetypes.

If you don't understand the repression theory and shadow dynamics when you watch "The Mask", you don't understand what this movie really talks about. The movie talks about temptation, disinhibition, possession, the Shadow self, and the fragile nature of agency. The mask embodied the Shadow archetype. That hidden reservoir of traits we deny. Like aggression, charisma, and hedonism. Loki's trickster energy isn't evil, it's disruptive, forcing growth through disorder.

What powers does the mask give? The wearer's reality-bending powers are based on their suppressed personality. Think about it: suppressed personality. What happens if you become drunk or use drugs? Your suppressed personality temporarily becomes the most powerful side of you.

Consider the Mask movie through this lens: the idea that intoxication reveals the suppressed aspects of one's personality. In the film, the mask amplifies what is already inside Stanley. Similarly, alcohol and drugs disinhibit what is latent. When you use drugs or drink, this unleashes the ID: the raw, impulsive drives Freud described as buried under the ego and superego's censorship.

- See a video about shadow and shadow integration;

- See movies about these themes (yes, like "The Mask");
